Relocatables Update

In 2022, Te Āhuru Mōwai faced the loss of two properties in a fire. This was a devastating blow for both the tenant whānau and the wider community. However, amidst the tragedy, we saw an opportunity.

We were able to relocate two houses from Porirua East, thanks to Kāinga Ora. These homes, originally slated for demolition as part of redevelopment work, found new life with us.

Over the past few months, these houses underwent extensive refurbishments. With the help of Duncan Construction and subcontracted Ngāti Toa trades and local trades, we transformed them into nearly new Te Āhuru Mōwai homes. It's a great feeling to know that these homes will now be a safe haven for those who need it most.
