Tamariki Day at the Pools

During the April School Holidays, Te Āhuru Mōwai hosted "Tamariki Day at the Pool" which was a huge success with 34 tenant tamariki and Rangatahi (aged 3-16) in attendance.

The day was filled with laughter, fun, and plenty of swimming as the tamariki enjoyed playing in the pool and indulging in some delicious free kai together. The highlight of the event was the water safety and survival skills session led by our partners Dash Swim School and Splash Save. The instructors made learning these important skills both informative and enjoyable for all the tamariki.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to Nuku Ora - an active Wellington region, Dash Swim School and SplashSave for helping to make the day a success. We know that the tamariki had a great time and that they walked away with new skills and memories to cherish.

Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for future tamariki days like this one. We run one at the end of each school term and always look for ways to engage and involve our tenants in fun and educational activities. We hope to see some new faces at the next event!
